Our History

Established 1931, under the Diocese of Manzini

St Theresa's High School is a Roman Catholic school for girls only, established in 1931 under the Catholic Diocese of Manzini. It is recognised as a mission-aided school by the Eswatini Ministry of Education and Training. For nearly a century the school has formed young Swazi women in a tradition that holds academic excellence and Christian formation as inseparable.

Named for St Thérèse of Lisieux, our patroness, the school carries her "Little Way" into every classroom and corridor — the conviction that small acts done with great love form character that lasts a lifetime.

Vision

To empower the girl child with academic excellence grounded in Christian values.

Mission

A Roman Catholic girls' school providing a conducive environment for teaching and learning — through a relevant, inclusive and integrated curriculum, the instilling of Catholic Christian values, diligence, honesty and self-discipline, and the pursuit of academic excellence through collective hard work and respect for every individual.

Values

Professionalism · Honesty & Truthfulness · Competence & Productivity — upheld by teachers and pupils, within and beyond the school premises.

Catholic Ethos

An education of the whole person

We believe that a true education forms the intellect, the will and the imagination together. The Gospel and the great Catholic intellectual tradition are not extra subjects at St Theresa's — they are the soil in which every other subject grows. From mathematics to literature, from sport to service, our girls learn to see the world as one in which truth, beauty and goodness can be sought together.
